Make sure you and all of your friends are at Large Group on this Good Friday. Mako Nagasawa, a regional IV staff, is coming to talk to us about the significance of Jesus’ death. He will be talking about “Harry Potter, Frodo, and Jesus – the victorious hero.” In a culture saturated by heroism, come learn about what makes Jesus unique. It is going to be a great talk for everyone to hear!

Missions Auction!!!
April 1st, 2009 · Comments Off
It is time for the annual IV Mission’s auction! Have something cool lying around that you will never use but other people would love? Are you moving out in May and need to start passing along appliances? Do you have a special skill that you could teach other people? How about extra guest meals? Start thinking about what you can contribute to this years missions auction!
The auction will take place this Friday night, April 3rd, during Large Group. We will kick off the night by hearing from Jamie about why we do missions, and learn about all of the different missions programs that people from IVCF are going to be involved in this summer. After that, we will start the auction!
All donations will be sold to the highest bidder, and all profits will go to the students doing missions programs. This is a great way to financially support your friends!
Email Jen (newcomb.jennifer@gmail.com) with anything that you would like to contribute to the auction by Friday at noon so that we can have a list together for the auction.

Spring Semester 2009!
February 10th, 2009 · Comments Off
So as some of you may have noticed, our website was down for a little bit last semester. But it is back up and running, so look around the links for some exciting events coming up this spring! Like last semester, we have Large Group every Friday night at 7pm in SAR101. Our New Year’s Resolution is timeliness, so we are actually starting at 7pm now! Come early to talk to friends and to meet new people. Also, before Large Group, we have a time for prayer for our campus starting at 6:15pm. Check out the Prayer tab for more information. To find out more about what the Large Group talk is every Friday, check out the Large Group link. After Large Group, we have an After Fellowship Activity (AFA). This is a great time to hang out with people in the fellowship, a time to get to know new and old friends better. The AFA for each Friday is also listed in the Large Group tab. Invite your friends to Large Group and/or the AFA too! The more the merrier!
Intervarsity exists as a community beyond Friday nights as well. In the Events link, you can find more information about other activities we have going on, like concerts we are going to, dinners we are planning, movie nights, etc. Also, throughout the week there are a number of Small Groups taking place in each area of the campus. Small groups are a great way to get to know a smaller number of people on a more intimate level, as well as a great place to ask deep questions about God and faith. All of the times, locations, and contact info for these are located under the Small groups tab. If you are not sure what to think about God and would like a smaller group with whom you can ask the hard questions, check out the tab for Groups Investigating God.
Questions? Just email a chapter leader!

Start of a new semester!
August 23rd, 2008 · Comments Off
All returning students, welcome back to Boston!!! Can’t wait to see a lot old familiar faces, as well as a lot of new ones, around campus!
Speaking of new faces, congratulations and welcome to the Class of 2012! We cannot wait to meet you – we’ll have quite a few events throughout the first weeks, so check back on the website for more information!
Look for our table at SPLASH on Monday, September 1 from 11AM to 2 PM. SPLASH is a great event put on by the Students Activities Office to introduce all students to all of the organizations they can get involved on campus. There will be a barbeque, music, raffles, and a lot of cool groups to get involved in. Make sure you don’t forget to stop by IVCF’s table to learn more about our group and to meet some current members!
On Wednesday at 7:30 pm join us in the Sargent Gym (across from the GSU) for Free Ice Cream and Games. This will be a great chance to meet new people and bring friends.
Our first Large Group will be on Friday, September 5, 7pm in Sargent College, (SAR101). Come out to hear our staff speaker, Bruce, introduce the theme of talks for the semester – Living the Jesus Way on Campus.
